Clothes know: For best results go to Battiston’s
“Certified Master Dry Cleaning” is an honor bestowed on us by the nation’s pre-eminent dry cleaning trade association and oversight group, the Drycleaning and Laundry Institute. It means we’re specially trained to provide the very best service available, on the trickiest stains, the most delicate fabrics, and every garment we face from vintage apparel to the newest fashion collections.
Cleaning involves the most modern technology and the most environmentally safe cleaning agents available, plus hand-spotting and inspection by our dedicated staff to get out those stains that other cleaners can’t.
Free Minor Repairs
Battiston’s is proud to provide free minor repairs along with our Certified Master Dry Cleaning. Some cleaners will try to squeeze you for additional charges to tighten a button or sew up a small tear, but we don’t think that’s right. You want your items looking great when you pick them up, and providing complimentary repairs assures that.
Among the free minor repairs we’ll handle when you choose our award-winning Certified Master Dry Cleaning:
- Tightening or replacing loose or missing buttons on your shirts, jackets, coats and more
- Re-stitching fallen hemlines on your pants and skirts
- Sewing up small holes where the seams are coming apart on your pants, skirts, sweaters and more (typically we can sew up tears along a seam up to about an inch for free; larger tears or insect damage will usually require that you speak with one of our tailors)
- Repairing or replacing loose or missing clasps on your pants and skirts
For larger repairs plus alterations, you can always stop by and say hi to one of our great on-site tailors.
Superior Stain Fighting
At Battiston’s, we pride ourselves on our superior stain-fighting expertise. When you choose our Certified Master Dry Cleaning, you can be secure in the knowledge that your items are being looked after by experts in garment care and stain removal. We have the desire to get your garments looking fresh and clean, and the knowledge to make that happen.
But stain fighting starts with you. If you do have an item with a specific stain you need treated, let us know when you’re dropping your items off over the counter, or leave a note in your express bag. Just two little questions – What is the stain? Where is the stain? – will help us help you. It’s much easier to tackle a stain when we know what it is. And while we’ll work hard to try to get it out even if we don’t know what it is, using our wide array of treatment procedures and chemical solvents that work on specific stains, relieving us of that trial-and-error burden would save us time, and that means we can keep our prices low.
